Southampton National Park City Hubs are ongoing forums for people across the city to connect on a wide range of different interest areas. They are spaces to:

Seed new ideas, imaginaries and future visions for the city as a part of a collective.

Connect, support mutual practices of empowerment, upskill, resource sharing, etc.

Initiate grassroot, community-led, actions that respond directly and dynamically to local needs.

With some initial support from us at Southampton National Park City, each hub will be primarily member-led, so as a collective you will have a huge amount of freedom to direct what emerges from your connections together.

We’re currently seeking expressions of interest for these groups. So if you’re keen (or have an idea for another hub) let us know!
Greenifiers
A hub for those interested in biodiversity, ecology, horticulture, etc. This is a space for those those looking to seek out ways, and share knowledge about, how to best support our city’s wildlife to thrive.
Food resilience
A hub dedicated to tackling food poverty, promoting local growing schemes, enhancing community food security and creating a sustainable and equitable food system in our city.
Environmental justice
A hub dedicated to addressing environmental injustices and amplifying the voices of communities of colour across the city. Bringing together activists, community leaders, and allies who are passionate about creating inclusive environmental solutions that recognize and rectify historical and systemic inequities.
Community responders
Campaigners and activists, PR and comms, lobbyists, connectors and mediators. A hub of people skill sharing to foster resilient, empowered communities and respond to any urgent needs.
storytellers & Creatives
Writers, filmmakers, artists, illustrators and designers, photographers and more. A hub for those looking to use their creative talents to spark different imaginaries of Southampton.
Events & Organisers
This is a hub for the do-ers, the ones passionate about taking a vision and turning it into a reality. For people interested in creating meaningful experiences to bring people together and create new opportunities.
