uRGENT HELP

Nearest Bus stops to the Central Parks

  • The closest bus stops to Palmerston Park are on Above Bar, next to Marlands Shopping Centre. There are bus stops all along Vincents Walk, south of the Poundtree Road crossing that separates the park - and right at the bottom, there is a bus stop on Hanover Buildings called Houndwell Park.

​

  • The closets bus stops around Hoglands Park are on the south side of Hoglands Park, just off the Queensway roundabout, and northeast around Kingsland Market, on St Mary's Place.​​​

  • The nearest bus stops around Watts Park are on the east side of the park on Above Bar, next to the Cenotaph, and south of the park next to the Civic Buildings/Southampton Library on Commercial Road. Further afield, there are bus stops at the front of the Civic Buildings on New Road.​​

  • For East Park, as well as the bus stops around the Cenotaph on Above Bar, there are stops north of the park on Kings Park Road, and at the front of Solent University on East Park Terrace. There are also bus stops round the side of the university buildings on New Road.

Nearest police station to Central parks

​The nearest police station is a 17 minute walk from the centre of Palmerston Park walking straight down New Road, continuing as it becomes Civic Centre Road and then Western Esplanade. The Central Police Station is on the left hand side of the major junction as it intersects with Southern Road. The address of the police station is:
