uRGENT HELP

  • If you are in immediate danger or a crime is happening right now:

Nearest Bus stops around the Common

  • West side of the Common - closest bus stops are on Hill Lane that runs next to the Common. Bus stops are marked next to Richard Taunton College and on Kineton Road junction, Wilton Road Junction and Raymond Road junction. 

​​

  • On the east side of the Common, the nearest bus stops are on The Avenue, with bus stops at Northlands Road junction down in the south end, and stops next to Oakmount Avenue halfway up The Avenue. There are lots of bus stops on Winn Road, which is the road next to the pedestrian crossing going across The Avenue, next to Cowherds.

  • The nearest bus stops on the northwest side of the Common are on Hill Lane, with a bus stop slightly north of the Leicester Road junction and bus stops at the Bassett Road roundabout next to Sainsburys.

​​

  • The closest bus stops on the north east corner of the Common are on Bassett Road running north of the Common, which has bus stops at the Bassett/Avenue junction, Boldrewood Campus, Global Technology Centre and Glen Eyre Road. There are bus stops on Highfield Road running southeast, with stops next to Furzedown Road and Roseland Gardens.

​The nearest police station is a 23 minute walk from the centre of The Avenue to Portswood, or get the U1A bus from Northlands Road or along Winn Road to get to Portswood. The address of the police station is:
