Sholing Valleys Study Centre
A volunteer-based charity established in 1988, dedicated to conservation, education and engagement in and around Millers Pond in Sholing - one of Southampton's largest and most diverse Local Nature Reserves.
Conservation
Volunteer-led conservation activities to support the biodiversity of the nature reserve - supporting everything to the smallest lichen and slug to the more occasional otters and roe deer.
Education
From monthly Nature Watch groups for younger children to educational walks and talks for all ages.
Community Engagement
Regular activities for local residents, community, school groups as well as corporate activity days. Big annual events are also held on the reserve, including the vibrant Spring Fayre.
